Flaming Cliffs 3 Introduction

Flaming Cliffs 3 is a mixture of (low-fidelity) fighter aircraft and though they do not feature any clickable cockpit, the aircraft featured in this combination package are some of the most capable aircraft within DCS World. Due to their more basic yet extreme capable simulation they make an excellent first purchase for any aspiring (DCS) pilot, and will indeed often be the first step that any of us have taken in the fighter / combat pilot community.

The following aircraft are featured within the Flaming Cliffs 3 package:

- F-15C Eagle [American Fighter]: Air-to-Air munitions only, with short range infrared, medium range semi-active and active radar guided missiles

- A-10A Warthog [American Attacker] (please note this is a different, earlier variant than the A-10C 'Charlie' full fidelity module): Air-to-Ground munitions (Air-to-Air for self-defence only), with dumb bombs, cluster munitions, the AGM-65 Maverick Air-to-Ground missile and of course the mighty 30mm Gau-8 Gatling Gun.

- Su-27 Flanker-B [Russian Fighter / Attacker]: a variety of Air-to-Air and Air-to-Ground munitions, such as dumb bombs, semi-active radar and medium range infrared missiles

- Su-33 Flanker-D [Russian Fighter / Attacker] (Carrier modified/capable version of the Su-27): a variety of Air-to-Air and Air-to-Ground munitions, such as dumb bombs, semi-active radar and medium range infrared missiles

- J-11 Flanker-B+ [Chinese Fighter / Attacker] (Chinese-built version of the Flanker-B): similarly to the 'normal' Flanker-B carries a variety of Air-to-Air and Air-to-Ground munitions, such as dumb bombs, semi-active radar and medium range infrared missiles; it can also carry a fully active radar missile called the R-77, as well as being able to carry double the amount of air-to-ground stores on dual pylons under the wing

- Mig-29A Fulcrum-A [German Fighter / Attacker]: a variety of Air-to-Air and Air-to-Ground munitions, such as dumb bombs, semi-active radar and medium range infrared missiles

- Mig-29S Fulcrum-C [Russian Fighter / Attacker]: a variety of Air-to-Air and Air-to-Ground munitions, such as dumb bombs, semi-active radar and medium range infrared missiles

- Su-25A Frogfoot [Russian Attacker] (original model of the SU-25T that is available for free): Largely focused on Air-to-Ground, but can also carry Air-to-Air munitions and is capable of using ARM (Anti-Radition Missiles) that can be used to engage enemy SAM (Surface to Air Missile) sites
