Description
English: North American P-51D-5-NA Mustang #44-13926 from the 375th Fighter Squadron. Aircraft crashed on 9 August 1944, and the pilot was killed. The aircraft located at the Olympic Flight Museum in Olympia, Washington, which carries the serial number 44-13926 and is marked as airworthy, is a recreation of the original.

P-51s had destroyed 4,950 enemy aircraft in the air, more than any other fighter in Europe. Also used for photo recon and ground support use due to its limited high-altitude performance.
