Task: Jettison tank if empty Added with: 2.7.7
Hierarchy: Scripting Root > Tasks > Option > Jettison tank if empty
Tasking Type: Option
For: Airplanes, Helicopters
Available Under: Everything
Description: Defines whether or not the AI will jettison their fuel tanks once those tanks are empty. This is useful for WW2 or other aircraft not capable of mid air refueling to reduce drag.

Behaviors:

True: AI will jettison their fuel tanks once empty.

False: (Default) AI will not jettison their fuel tanks once the tank is empty

Format: All options have an option ID and Value. For more information see the article on the AI enumerator.

Option Identifier:

AI.Option.Air.id.JETT_TANKS_IF_EMPTY

Option Values:

true
false
Enumerators: JETT_TANKS_IF_EMPTY = 25
Examples:
Notes: AI aircraft do not have the same fuel flow rules as player aircraft do. For example in the F-15C for a player the centerline tank is drained first followed by the wing tanks. For the AI either the fuel tanks are drained correctly and they are incapable of jettisoning a single tank or all fuel tanks are drained at an equalized rate.

See article Mission Editor: AI Tasking for more information on how AI tasking is handled within DCS.
